Eileen Carey named finalist in music competition
as she releases new CD, “Possibilities”

Los Angeles, CA, August 6, 2001 – Eileen Carey has been named a finalist in the 7th Annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (September 13-16). Carey will compete in the Best of Show competition before a select panel of judges and mainstream/independent film & music industry professionals.
“It’s just a great opportunity to expose my music, particularly to filmmakers, as music is such a key element in the creation of movies,” Carey said. “Having this coincide with the release of “Possibilities”, my first full CD, is a double blessing.”
“Possibilities” is a compilation of folk/rock selections performed by Carey and co-written by herself and various collaborators. Her single, “That Town”, released in 2000 has been heard on over 80 college radio stations & specialty programs in the U.S., as well as internationally in Japan and the Netherlands.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of “Possibilities” is being donated to children’s charities.
