Nashville's Carey possesses a countrified pop sensibility on this well-recorded album. Her husky delivery gives strong voice to her tunes, mostly co-writes. The material –– "Hearts of Time," "Hollywood" (inspired by her SoCal sojourn as an actress) and "Just To Get To You" –– benefits from the singer's ingenuous vocal persona, as well as some well-chosen backup musicians. Something tells us Carey could be a terrific communicator with children.
